Since my whole blog is about me and my fitness journey, i thought it would be appropriate to include the building where i workout at, the Chinook. What i love about the Chinook is that it has all the necessary equipment to better yourself physically and mentally. The three rooms i wanted to focus on were the cardio room, boxing room, and weight room. I wanted to incorporate them in someway and i decided the best way was to crop out the photo and only center the main components of the picture. For example, when i took a picture of the boxing room it was vastly empty, but i had to show that it was being used to box. So i decided to zoom in on the punching bag and sparing gloves to give it that boxing vibe. The weight room photo was a bit more challenging to photograph because there’s a lot of machines and i had a hard time capturing all of them in one photo. I got past this by looking online and i came across a photo of the Chinook being built and it perfectly captured all the machines. Lastly was the cardio room, it was the easiest to photograph because the machines were all lined up. For the background i chose the Chinook because i wanted it to be the main subject and the bubble rooms gave more insight into what it had to offer.
What i found most challenging about this project was spacing the bubble rooms so that they are not taking away from the main subject, which is the Chinook. In order to do that i need to make the bubbles smaller, but honestly if i do i feel like you would not be able to see the fine details of each of the rooms. When i finished putting the bubble rooms in front of the Chinook i felt like it was missing something. So i made up the phrase “Its not just a building, Its a lifestyle.” I really stand behind this phrase because you go to the Chinook and live out your lifestyle by becoming the best version of yourself by working out.
